Minnesota AFL-CIO President Bill McCarthy issued the following statement responding the Governor Tim Walz’s 2019 State of the State address:
“Governor Walz made a strong case this evening for a state budget and policies that put working Minnesotans and families first.
“Priorities such as making a historic investment in public schools, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and investing in our crumbling transportation infrastructure will empower working people families of all backgrounds, colors, and religions in every corner of our state.
“As we enter the second half of this year’s legislative session, we are hopeful for results that deliver dignity, justice, and freedom for working Minnesotans.”
